Rising global inequality is one of the biggest social and economic challenges of the 21st Century. Whilst inequality is a global issue, it is often more pointedly felt in emerging economies, as they tend to have a larger informal sector, greater regional divides, wider gaps in access to education, and more significant barriers to employment for women.

Financial inclusion is an important factor in bridging these divides, while also supporting better economic and social outcomes. Our partners’ presentations, aimed to demonstrate how financial inclusion has supported faster and fairer economic development in Brazil, highlight what has been done to now, and discuss future developments, referencing how the Brazilian investment landscape may evolve over time.

Financial inclusion is becoming a key priority for governments and is increasingly a matter of reference for businesses and investors. Brazil is a strong example of how the integration of finance with technology is helping accelerate financial inclusion, thereby creating compelling investment opportunities within this growing economy.
