'Developments in the cross-border payments sector in Brazil' webinar

9 December 2021

Brazil’s Central Bank has recently approved a series of changes to its FX policy, aimed at facilitating international payment and transfer operations. With the creation of a new concept called eFX (which can be either an institution authorised by the Brazilian Central Bank or an authorised legal entity that offers digital payment solutions), FinTechs will be able to operate in the foreign exchange market exclusively through electronic means, assisting international companies to pay and receive payments in Brazil.

Brazilian Chamber members WePayOut and Campos Mello Advogados/DLA Piper discussed the new regulations and trends in the cross-border payments industry in Brazil and how this will/can transform the sector. Watch the recording of this webinar on demand and understand why payment institutions in Brazil will have more autonomy in the cross-border payments industry from October 2022
