Recent Legislative Developments in Brazil- Event Postponed
PLEASE BE AWARE: THIS EVENT HAS NOW BEEN POSTPONED
Join us for a breakfast breifing at the Embassy of Brazil on legislative developments being undertaken in Brazil. The talk will be preceded by a networking breakfast.
If the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff is confirmed by the Brazilian Senate, President Michel Temer will have just over two years to act firmly and take the necessary steps to conquer the huge challenges that are faced by Brazil today.
In doing so, the administration will be taking legislative measures relating to the limitation of public spending so as to curb Brazil’s giant fiscal deficit as well as to the implementation of a plan of reforms to put the country back in the road of sustainable development.
In this talk, by Vera Dantas, a partner in the law firm of Noronha Advogados, which has had a presence of almost three decades in London whilst remaining active in Brazil in the representation of UK and international clients, will look at the recent legislative developments as already proposed by the Temer administration and what they will mean for the country.
