Strategic Governance Committee Inaugural Panel

The Strategic Governance Committee of the Brazilian Chamber is pleased to invite you to its inaugural panel 'Governance without borders: trust, rules and investment', which will explore the current state of corporate governance in Brazil through multiple perspectives – from listed and publicly traded companies to privately held enterprises – including the adoption of codes, board training, regulation and compliance.
When: Monday, September 29th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Where: Banco do Brasil
Type: In-person event
The discussion will then turn to a comparative analysis with the United Kingdom, highlighting similarities, differences and opportunities for exchange. A third focus will be the growing role of sustainability within boards in both countries, examining the influence of regulation, investor expectations and market dynamics, as well as how companies are preparing for COP30 in Brazil in 2025. Finally, the panel will address international trade relations in the context of shifting global dynamics, from the UK’s post-Brexit positioning to Brazil’s evolving agenda with the US, the BRICS, and the prospective Mercosur-EU agreement. Throughout, the central question will be how boards can engage, contribute and shape best practices in addressing these challenges and opportunities.
