Brazilian-Italian pianist Pablo Rossi is a Latin Grammy nominee and the winner of the "1st Nelson Freire National Competition for New Brazilian Talents" in 2003. He has been building a brilliant musical and artistic career since his orchestral debut with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra at the age of thirteen. When he was seven years old, he was awarded his first prize at a national competition for young talents, since then he has won more than ten international competitions in Brazil, Spain and Argentine. As a soloist he has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Kremlin, the Chamber Orchestra of Moscow, the Chamber Orchestra of Auvergne, the Georgian Sinfonietta, the Symphony Orchestra of Kirov, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Rossi was a member of the distinguished English Foundation ‘The Keyboard Trust’, playing more than fifty recitals in Europe, the United States, Africa, Latin America and Asia. His intense concert career have taken him to important concert halls across Europe, such as Parco della Musica (Rome), Laeiszhalle (Hamburg), the Small Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Moscow), Sala Maffeiana (Verona), Stadtcasino (Basel) and Palau de la Musica (Barcelona). Last season engagements included solo recitals at the celebrated Carnegie Hall in New York, the Slovenian Radio Concert Hall in Bratislava, the National Liberal Club and “Sala Brazil" in London, the "Sala Cecilia Meireles" and "Sala São Paulo" in Brazil, the NCPA (Beijing) and “Shanghai Concert Hall", the Big Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory and National Istrian Theatre in Pula (Croatia) and at the prestigious “International Piano Festival” in La Roque D'Anthéron (France). In addition, Rossi has also ministrated masterclasses at the Musical Conservatories in Shanghai, Belgrade, Tbilisi, Zagreb, Kiev and La Coruña.
His discography contemplates recordings for solo piano to chamber music and have been acclaimed by the international critic. The album "Villa-Lobos: Complete Violin and Piano Sonatas" released by Naxos has been praised as the best chamber music recording by the celebrated BBC Music Magazine.
Rossi studied in Brazil with Olga Kiun and further his education at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, where he attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with "high distinction" at the class of the renowned pianist Elisso Virsaladze. In 2021 he finished his second master degree at the Mannes School of Music in New York, under Prof. Jerome Rose. As part of his interest in developing musical projects to spread classical music through his native country, he founded and is the Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santa Catarina.
