Strategic Governance Committee Inaugural Panel: Governance without Borders: Trust, Rules and Investment

We were honored to host the inaugural panel of the Strategic Governance Committee of the Brazilian Chamber: “Governance without Borders: Trust, Rules and Investment”, at Banco do Brasil on September 29th.

The discussion explored the evolving landscape of corporate governance in Brazil, from listed companies to privately held enterprises, covering codes, board training, regulation, and compliance. Our panelists also provided a comparative perspective with the United Kingdom, examined the growing role of sustainability on boards, and addressed international trade dynamics in a shifting global environment.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers:

  • Dr. Vikas Shah, Non-Executive Director, IOD

  • Bruno Montez-Carpes, CIO & MD, Capricornio Capital

  • Vera Innes, Chair of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Partner, Aroeira Salles Advogados

  • Gui Athia, Head of the Strategic Governance Committee, Brazilian Chamber & IBGC Representative in Portugal

And a special thank you to Banco do Brasil for hosting and supporting this event, which formed part of Brazil Investment Week 2025.

Together, we continue to foster dialogue, share best practices, and strengthen corporate governance across borders.
