Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence, Honouring Distinguished Awardees and Welcoming Inspiring Guest Speakers

On 9 June 2026, we mark the 25th anniversary of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain’s Personality of the Year Awards Gala Dinner, returning to Drapers’ Hall, one of London’s most distinguished and historic venues.
This milestone evening will honour the individuals and organisations who, over the past 25 years, have made a lasting impact on the relationship between our two countries. Since its inception, the event has brought together leaders from business, government, diplomacy, culture and academia to recognise achievements that drive collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth.
Guests can expect fine dining, inspiring and thought-provoking speakers, first-class entertainment and exceptional networking opportunities, all set within the elegant surroundings of Drapers’ Hall in the heart of the City of London.

This year's award on the Brazilian side will be presented to Embraer. This recognition reflect the strong and longstanding ties between Embraer and the United Kingdom, including partnerships that create opportunities for British aerospace suppliers, as well as the company's investment in the country.
Joao Pedro Taborda, Vice-President, Government Affairs - Europe and Central Asia, will receive de award on behalf of the company at the Gala Dinner.
João Pedro Taborda joined the company in 2005, coordinating institutional relations and following the regulatory environments in the region, particularly European Union’s. As part of his functions through these two decades, João coordinates the Business Diplomacy work in business opportunities related with Defense and state-owned airlines. The award on the British side will be presented to Anglo American Plc in recognition of its commitment to sustainable mining and its support for local communities through job creation, education, and broader socio-economic development initiatives, strengthening economic ties between Brazil and the United Kingdom.
Ana Sanches, CEO of Anglo American Brazil, will receive the award on behalf of the company at the Gala Dinner on 9 June 2026 at Drapers’ Hall, London.
Born in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), Ana Sanches is an economist with nearly 30 years of experience in finance, auditing, strategic planning, and new business development. The executive joined Anglo American in 2012, during the deployment of the company’s iron ore business in Brazil, the Minas-Rio System. In December 2023, she became president of Anglo American in Brazil and has also been chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Mining Institute (Ibram) since February 2024 – both positions had never been previously held by women.
